About Sasha Tai

Sasha Tai is a self-taught painter who is a 2nd generation Chinese-American from Redmond, Washington.

In 2023 Sasha was granted a solo art exhibition when the Executive Director of Redmond’s Centro Cultural Mexicano noticed Sasha painting there.  Sasha had brought in an oil portrait she was working on to Centro's open teen art studio to complete. The Executive Director, an artist herself, saw that Sasha's painting had very advanced painting technique and a deeply emotional style and asked Sasha if she had completed other paintings.  She responded that she had completed many.  This is how Sasha  was able to debut her extensive artworks at 17 years old with a public solo exhibition. 

Her creative passions also include music as a self-taught musician. In 2022 and 2023 Sasha was hired by the City of Kirkland as a solo performer to sing songs with her guitar for their annual Kirkland Summer Concert Series.
